Profession: Forensic Scientist
Race: Half-Demon - Fire
Anime: Magic/Demon Based Anime
Height: 6'1"
Build: Thin and Well Built
Eye Colour: Charcoal Gray
Skin Colour: Light Tan
Hair Colour: Thick, Black, Short, and Worn in Several Styles
Age/Age Appearing: 29
Marks/Style/Appearance: Ruaidhri has dark chocolate eyes and a well molded face that would label him rugged or handsome. Usually both. He mostly keeps himself clean shaven, but he has a habit of neglecting to shave and therefore has a collection of dark stubbles. His clothing on a regular basis is a T-shirt, possibly a collared shirt, and blue jeans. Tennis shoes are also accommodated.
Relations & Friends:
(Step)Father-Redrick Corcoglioniti
Mother-Eithne Corcoglioniti
Talents/Special Abilities: He's a fire half-demon. He can cause first, second and third degree burns with a touch of his hands, cause flamable materials to combust into flames, and even set himself aflame, unnaffected by the heat. He also has a special talent in reading blood patterns like most good Forensic Scientists.
Personality Traits: Ruaidhri's personality ranges to calm, collectiveness to full out furiousness depending on how he reacts to the other's personality or attitude. He can't really stand the kinds of people that think they are a cut above the rest. It drives him bonkers, really. He does, however, have self control. He rarely ever unleashes his power in frustration with people. That doesn't mean he's a push over. He can also be very sarcastic and it's hard to tell when he's serious, unless he is glaring at you. I'm sure that would catch their attention.
Awareness: His family worked for the Father Syndicate for several years, so he's aware of all mystics.
Theme song/Quote: "Well, if I was retarded, maybe I'd like it. But I'm not, so, I don't!"-Colin Farrell from "In Burgess."
History: Ruaidhri was born to a single Irish mother by the name of Eithne. He was never told of his father, but it didn't seem to bother the boy when his mother had soon married Redrick, an Ice Half-Demon who had helped her during her pregnancy. "Rorie" was raised by both Eithne and Redrick, believing that Redrick was indeed his real father. It wasn't until he discovered his powers, did he realize the truth.
Since half-demons didn't pass on their full powers to their offspring, Rorie would have never had his that he had. Even if it were possible, he couldn't have been able to use fire, considering Redrick's power was ice.
Despite all this, he wasn't upset with his findings. He was, however, disappointed that they never told them. Before we head on past his teenage years, lets get into his student life.-
Rorie went to school like any other child, kept up good grades, high scores, brilliant at the athletic field, so on. Why did he strive to all this? Because he wanted to be better. Not for himself, but for his mother. He wanted her to be proud and to make her life easier. After all, with Redrick working for the Nast Cabal, life was never normal, even for a supernatural family. The last thing Rorie wanted to do was make her worry about his school life.
After discovering his powers, and having to talk to his step father about them, he began to realize he was going to need to join the Father Syndicate. It wasn't that he really HAD to, but he knew it would make his power useful.
That didn't mean Rorie liked the Syndicates, because he didn't. He would rather just join a police force, which was naturally what he did, but one that was connected to the Syndicates. Rorie planned to stop worse things from happening for the future. He was going to make life easier for his mother and for others, even if it got him in more danger than he bargained for.
So after college and getting his Masters in forensics, he joined and began his work. He secretly worked for the Father Syndicate while working for a normal police force within his district. This was so he could get a quicker finding for mystic activity that could be found by humans.
That has been his life for longer than he could remember, and he doubts it will ever change. He has his eyes on Bartimaeus, knowing trouble is not too far away. The warlock will receive a warning, but one warning only. If Barty messes up again, the syndicate would most definitely get involved.
